Ford has stored its current data on a monthly
basis as it was collected since 1970. Ford’s US historical database
is well suited for performance testing: Information is stored as of the
date reported and historical data is never restated, so historical simulations
can be made with information actually known at the time. Data files are
also maintained on companies that are no longer in existence, thereby
eliminating survivorship bias.
Availability
Ford's US historical data
are available via Ford's microHIPER historical performance testing software.
The data can also be delivered in customized formats. Ford’s US historical
data can also be accessed on selected vendor systems, including Factset,
Team Systems and RIMES. In addition, Ford Equity Research provides custom
studies such as building or testing investment models using the historical
