David Hargett, CFA, Regional Sales Manager                         

David Hargett has been involved in the equity analysis field for 11 years.  Prior to joining Ford Equity Research, Mr. Hargett was a Senior Vice President and founding member of Alder Management, Inc., and Alder Capital, LLC, an investment management firm in San Diego .  In this capacity, Mr. Hargett helped create the Hedge Fund’s Investment Philosophy and Methodology, and was part of the investment management team.

Prior to Alder Management, Mr. Hargett was Managing Director of StockVal, Incorporated, currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Reuters.   In this capacity, Mr. Hargett was responsible for all areas of StockVal’s operations and P&L.   At StockVal, he re-defined the company’s business objective from providing a single equity analysis and portfolio management product to providing equity analysis solutions for the institutional investment management industry.   During his tenure as Managing Director, StockVal delivered four new equity analysis products and services, opening new markets for the company.   Prior to his role as Managing Director, Mr. Hargett served as Senior Vice President and Director of Sales for StockVal.   He joined StockVal in 1992 as a Financial Analyst.

Mr. Hargett graduated cum laude from Arizona State University with a BS in Finance.   He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a regular member of the Phoenix Society of Financial Analysts.
